Boy, have things changed. I gave up, in frustration, with this blog b/c our connection is so slow, I couldn't get pictures to load. That was one of the main reasons for starting this, to post pictures of the kids and our adventures. Some things have changed, our Internet connection being one of them. We upgraded the speed and messed with the settings on our camera, so I'm going to try and put some life into this posting. Wish me luck!
Yay! Here is a pic of the kids. Left to right, Jacqueline 2 1/2 months, Grant 2, Mairyn 4, and Eliza 6. This is one spunky set of siblings. I am so glad that this worked. I will need to make this more of a habit. Now if I could just find a time when I have two hands free, that would make things easier. Actually, speaking of easier, I'll tell you something Mairyn said the other evening. I was carrying plates full of food out to the table for dinner. Two in one hand, one in the other, cups under the arm, all waitress style. Mairyn saw me struggling and said, "You know what, Mommy? I wish you had 3 arms. Then you could do a lot more." Gee, thanks Mairyn. Sometimes I do wish I had more arms, and more time. But that's the life of a Mommy!
Ok, that picture of us at the pyramids didn't post exactly how I wanted it to, but that's ok. That is us right after Easter, the last week of April 2006. I had been up to Giza many times, but the kids hadn't ever gone up and gotten out, run around a bit. So we had a long weekend and planned the family outing. It's not that far from where we live, just a 20 minute drive if the traffic isn't too bad. If the traffic is not cooperating, then it takes more like 35 - 40 minutes. And, appallingly enough, Giza is only about 12 miles from where we live, if that. So, a nice post to get us back up and running. Hopefully!
