I'm so thankful to have grandparents that can still take kids 'on adventure' like when I was a kid. We found some huge sugar pine cones up on the mountain yesterday. And we get to take these babies home! Just in time for Christmas.
Mairyn & her great-grandpa on the back porch
Zip begging for scraps and Jacqueline being the willing enabler
And finishing the day by making hot chocolate and homemade whipped cream with Great-grandma. Yum.

Those are some massive pine cones! wow! I'm totally drooling over that hot chocolate with proper whipped cream btw.
Did you climb a beanstalk to get those giant pine cones? Wow!
What great pictures and beautiful memories they're making! I only had one living great grandparent and when we came to visit, he was always lying on the couch. He couldn't walk. He always gave us a crisp $5 bill when we came though. hehe!
My mom was orphaned young, and my dad's parents were gone before I was 7yo. My own parents have passed away now as well... but I am so very lucky to have my wonderful in-laws as grandparents for our children! Grandparents are a blessing! I am glad you had this time with family. :)
