El Alamein

We love El Alamein. It is wonderful. On the north coast of Egypt, it meets with the Mediterranean. That blue, blue ocean and smooth white sand. It's so picturesque, I still pinch myself each time we go to there. That and the fact that we're not paying like it's a high-end Med vacation. The rooms are huge and right on the beach. We left Thursday afternoon and stayed till Sunday. And the weather even cooperated one day and we got into the waves! It was a bit windy the other days, so we just built sand castles, ran away from the waves and swam in the cave pool. And they did that weird snake/swan thing with the towels. At least they didn't get out my glasses.

I love it when they make things out of towels! I swear my parents and i were more excited to see what new creation had been left for us on our cruise than we were about the tours! LOL

I just keep reminding myself I'll be at the beach soon, otherwise I'd be jealous beyond help! :) I'm glad you had such a great weekend!

Beautiful pictures!!! The kids look like they are having a blast :-) I have to ask... are there jelly fish?

Nope, none that we've seen. We do see some small teeny fish in the shallows!

I am so glad that you guys got to go on one more trip to El Alamein. Isn't it strange to be in the last days phase? Hope you enjoy the remaining weeks. And sorry about the elevator and tub, how very Egypt like!

Are the beaches like that in Barcelona? If so, I'm gonna be in heaven in April!

@ Nancy: We stayed at a resort called Charm Life.

@ Amy: I haven't been to the beach in Barcelona, but the beaches in Alicante, just 9 hours south, are white, soooo, maybe!
